Paying Rent

We offer a variety of payment methods to maximise our flexibility in meeting our tenants needs. 

Payment methods available to our tenants include: 

• Direct Debit
• Callpay (payments over the phone to the Association)
• Online via the AllPay secure website
• Post Office / Pay Point (using your rent card, if you don't have one you can ask for one at the Associations reception) 
• Standing Order

Please contact your Housing Services Officer you require any assistance working out how much rent you need to pay. 

Housing Benefit / Universal Credit

Depending on your circumstances you may be entitled to Housing Benefit or Universal Credit to help meet your rent costs.

Our Welfare Rights Team can conduct a benefits eligibility check and assist our tenants in applying for benefits. 

It is our tenant’s responsibility to ensure that all relevant information required is provided to Renfrewshire Council / DWP to enable their claims to be processed. Our Housing Services Officers can assist our tenants in doing so. 

Residents who receive partial Housing Benefit or Universal Credit, must pay the remaining rent charge not covered. 

Difficulties Paying Rent 

Please contact your Housing Services Officer as soon as possible if you are having difficulties paying your rent. Our Housing Services Officers can help our tenants manage their finances by making sensible payment arrangements in times of financial difficulties. 

We also employ a Welfare Rights Team who provide free, independent and confidential benefits advice to our tenants. 

We will explore every avenue to prevent ending a tenancy due to rent arrears but it is essential you talk to us. Failure to engage with the Association can lead to a more formal route being taken to recover arrears which may result in eviction.
